What If Kingdom Hearts Was An Anime?

Rumors spread some time ago of a Kingdom Hearts television show in the works. It got me so excited to the point that I did a video covering all of the updates we had at the time. Well, it’s been a while and nothing has come up since then. We’ve even had Disney announce animes will be coming to Disney+ soon, but none under the Kingdom Hearts branding. We have a Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary event coming up on April 10, 2022, and that could potentially be the moment we finally get some big news on all things Kingdom Hearts. With the possibility of the announcement of this television show, why not assume we receive an anime adaptation of our favorite Disney Square Enix crossover? If it were to happen though, how could an anime based on Kingdom Hearts actually work?

Now, of course, there’s no way the entirety of the Kingdom Hearts story can fit into just one season. It seems appropriate to break each game into a season of its own, with some exceptions along the way. Give or take, a season of an anime nowadays runs on average 24 episodes as seen with Jujutsu Kaisen and Fire Force’s anime adaptations. If Disney were to follow suit, that’ll give us 24 episodes per season for a Kingdom Hearts anime, although I’m sure not every game would need that many episodes but… let’s go on.

The first season would obviously adapt the entirety of the first Kingdom Hearts…
